This outline should have been up a while ago, but honestly, I was having trouble with it. I conjured up two main ideas from my novel, Stranger in A Strange land and was working on incorporating both of them into one essay, so this is what I have so far to that regard. I’ll be changed a lot, of course, but it will follow this mind set. This is rough, I wont put in quotes because I’m lazy and I’ll be commenting through out.
Thesis: Reflective in human history itself is that Stranger in A Strange land created or at least formalized and put into words the religion of no religion.
How did I think of it? Well the book questions two things (well two arguments stood out to me). It looks at religion from two points of view (who’s more evolved, humanity or the Martians) and religion from many views. It looks at current religion (when it’s at it’s most extreme) and the prospect of no religion. So, why not incorporate it all into a new religion of no religion.
Reason: The novel clearly supports the idea of religion
Example: Annoying church people that ruin mike for me…
Example: Mike’s church
Reason: The novel clearly supports the idea of evolution, and no religion
Example: Mike is more evolved.
Example: Humanity is more evolved.
Reason: The religion of no religion is supported today.
Example: The non-believers have formed a modern day group.
Example: The history of it all.
Conclusion: Straight forward…I sum it up.
Bonus mark: Where is the title of this post from?
